Tortoise continues its transformation, one that began when the gang of Chicago one day to burn a song to a groove, and which has since ceased to be. Why Waste Time has all of the ep pirate, because only released on a Japanese label, because no record store worth the name can not have in its disc tray, and then because it already sells Gold prices on the net. The ultimate from a group that calls itself the Can, Dilla, Sly & Robbie, Earth (I know nothing in fact), the Minutemen, which is remixed by Autechre 20 years , is still in this pouch that seems taken from a cassette of the 80 black, or a drawing of unsuccessful Savage Pencil: Gothic script and hemoglobin dripping. Since the retrospective exciting as the band released in 2006, Tortoise seems to be moving increasingly towards a music where the research place the keyboard in the middle of the rock band continues to grow, just as does Reznor since With Teeth (oooouuuuupssssss! !!!!). The opening track starts on a beat racing, production and saturated infrabass cannibals. The pace recalls that 5 have, at one time, released a record with Warp, ground frozen with them, the bar of a dub of a another era. The suite has all of the digression Kevin Drumm when he shared the stage with Tortoise in 2008 for the jazz festival at La Villette, as a record of the party escaped, while collapsing on Gigantes prodigious piece of previous album, remixed by Mark Ernestus becoming more haunting here yet. Instrumental music (NIN should take a leaf-re-Ooouupsssssssssssss!) Tortoise comes to end on a medley of footage collected over between jazz, rock and electronics uninhibited typical 5, still powered by this improbable science sound and acoustic McEntire, drummer and producer of the group (not one member as tyrannical Trent Ooooupsss-ter), continues perpetually refine. Without really knowing where these titles come out (promo, availability ....) we revel in these 4 pieces (and 3 videos, 2 live performances and a clip) while recalling that Mr. Maandig should be inspired (Oooouupsssssss !)
